User Guide to the Interactive Map of Exhibition Venues
Navigation
- The white dots on the map indicate the locations where permanent and occasional exhibition venues, associated art societies and colonies, as well as other potential exhibition initiatives were established during the selected time period.
- Slide the pointer over a white dot to display the location name.
- The red dot indicates the currently selected location.
- The full entry about the currently selected location is shown on the right side of the screen.
Time filter
- The time filter options are at the top of the map. Enter the years of the desired period (e.g. 1955 and 1965) or a single year (e.g. 1973 and 1973).
- The locations for the selected period will be updated automatically on the map.
- Clicking on a specific location will highlight the part of the text associated with the selected period.
Information about each location
- A chronological overview of the development of permanent and occasional exhibition venues, associated art societies and colonies, as well as other potential exhibition initiatives is provided for each location.
- Where possible, the contributors' names are accompanied by their years of birth and death, along with links to the Slovenska biografija or the Obrazi slovenskih pokrajin portals.
- When an entry is associated with another location, the latter can be accessed through a hyperlink.
- Each entry is accompanied by key literature and a photo archive. Relevant content can be accessed by clicking on the chosen tab.

- The full text of the interactive map tab contains descriptions of all included locations, arranged in alphabetical order. To view it, simply scroll down or up with the pointer.
